The Powerpoint reduction here is an introduction to circulation inside autotrophic organisms...it focuses upon primarily upon multicellular plants. The unicellular organisms including prokaryotes, protists, chromists, rhodophytes, and all but the reproductive bodies of fungi simply use diffusion from the surrounding medium and mostly cyclosis inside the cell for circulation. The surrounding medium is in fairly close contact with each cell in those organisms. Multicellular organisms must have more sophisticated mechanisms as is shown here. This page is a draft under construction!
