National Academies Summer Institute for Undergraduate Education in Science. University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT June 2016.
This summer workshop provided participants with exposure and experience in creative objective focused scientific active learning lessons to transform STEM eduation. Participants were divided into small teams to collaboratively create a Teachable Tidbit Unit. Janet Morrison (The College of New Jersey), Alexander Lloyd (Columbia University), and Kristen Epp and Ross Koning (Eastern Connecticut State University) designed and delivered a teachable unit on Population Growth Models. Here are links to the Teachable Unit Framework, the PowerPoint Presentation, and Life Table.

Teacher Quality Partnership Program, Green LEAF Grant Content Provider. Provided handouts, background information, and led a field study [Plants of "Plants and Bugs" Session] as an example of using school grounds or other natural areas for content delivery and motivation to meet Common-Core and Next Generation Science Standards by K-12 teachers. One portion of the program was videotaped and posted to YouTube. March 2014-August 2014.
